Dodge Magnum

today i want to talk about my last car which my father and i designed. since my father is an auctioneer, cars roll in and out of our driveway quite frequently. one of those cars which rolled in last year was a 2007 dodge magnum with a hemi that he gave me. when it came in, it was all white with no extra work done to it. i drove it for awhile until about christmas and dad got the idea to do something different with the car. believe it or not station wagons were extremely popular cars to street rod out back in the day, and since my magnum madern day station wagon car he figured it had potential to be absolutely wicked. he was right. we started with deciding on the colors. we didnt want anything to "flashy" because we were going for the old school muscle car type look. we then contemplated the two-tone all the way down it with the bottom staying the original color, white, and the top metallic black. the next step was the wheels. we knew we werent staying stock there! it would completely destroy the muscle car look so we decided to order muscle car tires, 18 in Boyd Cottingtons in the front and 20in Boyd cottingtons in the back to give it that slanted down look. we then moved on to the body itself. every owner of a dodge magnum has the same old routine, horizontal grille; and we knew right off the bat we wanted that to change so with the help of Ebay, we ordered a Bentley grille to custom fit my car. with the final touches of a flat black and red pin stripe down the side of the car, and custom painting the Boyd cottington wheels to match the metallic, we were finished.
